Erika Thomas holds a Ph.D. and teaches documentary film and contemporary art at the Catholic University of Lille.
Her films and creations have been presented, selected and awarded at numerous festivals.
For several years she has been developing her academic and artistic research in the perspective of what is called “research-creation” or “art-based research”. From documentary film and video art to poetry and performance, creation is developed as a territory for thinking about the Self and the world. According to her, art is more than a refuge, art is a lifeline.
